You can never get enough safe help for high blood pressure. So, it’s always nice when you add a new herb to the list.
You can read this twice, but it will still be true: incredibly, nearly half of all Americans over 20 have high blood pressure. And the news gets worse: only 24% of them have their high blood pressure under control. That’s a problem because high blood pressure puts you at risk of heart disease and stroke.
There are many natural supplements, like magnesium, vitamin C, hibiscus, garlic, CoQ10, nattokinase, olive leaf extract, celery seed extract, flaxseed, green tea and pomegranate juice that, provide powerful help for high blood pressure. But here’s a new one you never thought of.
A just published systematic review and meta-analysis of 6 controlled studies, including 373 people, has added the herb fenugreek to the list. The meta-analysis revealed that supplementing fenugreek seed significantly reduces systolic blood pressure. It also found that when the dose was above 15g a day, fenugreek also significantly reduces diastolic blood pressure.
