Eat Your Carotenes to Reduce Risk of Diabetes

A huge new study has found that eating foods rich in alpha-carotene and beta-carotene reduces your risk of developing type 2 diabetes. . . .
The study followed 37,846 people for eight to twelve years. It found that the people who got the most beta-carotene in their diet had a significant 22% reduced risk of diabetes compared to the people who got the least. The less well known alpha-carotene also helped, with the people who got the most reducing their risk by a significant 15%.
This study is interesting because it suggests the possibility for a new dietary aid for fighting type 2 diabetes.
