When Pregnant Moms Eat Avocado, Their Babies Have Less Food Allergies.

Avocados may not only be good for you, they may be good for your baby.
What you eat when you’re pregnant plays a critical role in the health of your child. Several studies have shown that the foods you eat while you’re pregnant can impact the risk of what your child eats causing allergies.
Inflammatory diets while pregnant increase the risk of childhood asthma. A Mediterranean diet prevents wheezing, asthma and allergies, while eating meat increases the risk of wheezing. Apples protect against wheezing and asthma. Vegetarian mothers increase the chances that their children won’t have eczema. Eating raw vegetables while pregnant reduces the risk that your baby will develop hay fever.
This just published study found that women who eat avocados while pregnant give birth to babies who have a significant 43.6% lower risk of developing food allergies in the first year.
So, go ahead and enjoy an avocado while pregnant. Your baby just might enjoy it too!
