A billion people have high blood pressure. By 2025, that number is projected to be 1.5 billion. That’s insane! A new meta-analysis provides solid evidence that simply supplementing garlic could help.

Hypertension, or high blood pressure, is an important risk factor for heart failure, heart attack and diabetes. So, getting it down to normal is important. This just published meta-analysis of 9 controlled studies with 584 people with high blood pressure set out to see what aged garlic extract could do.

The findings revealed that aged garlic extract substantially reduced both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. At doses over 1,200mg a day, the reductions were significant.

This is the first meta-analysis of aged garlic extract on blood pressure in hypertensive people. It found that, at sufficient doses, garlic significantly reduced systolic and diastolic blood pressure.
