New Natural Treatment for Rheumatoid Arthritis

The K2 form of vitamin K is derived primarily from bacteria. In this controlled study of eighty-four people with rheumatoid arthritis, half of them simply continued to take their normal arthritis medications and half added 100mcg a day of vitamin K2 to their meds.

At the end of the three month study, there was a significant decrease in inflammation and in disease activity in the vitamin K2 group.

One other recent study has also suggested that vitamin K2 could be a useful addition to a program for treating rheumatoid arthritis (Mod Rheumatol 2013;23:1001-7).
