Lemon Balm Helps You to Sleep

Insomnia is a big problem for a lot of people. This gentle calming herb can help you sleep.
Lemon balm is a beautiful calming herb that has been used traditionally to gently lull you to sleep.
This new double-blind study gave 400mg of lemon balm extract or a placebo 30 minutes before bed for 14 days. Everyone in the study experienced unrefreshing sleep and fatigue on waking.
Sleep scores were significantly better on the lemon balm, including scores of rapid eye movement (REM) and slow-wave sleep (SWS). SWS seems to improve daytime cognition, including learning and memory. 87% of the people in the lemon balm group reported better sleep versus only 30% in the placebo group.
This study adds more scientific support for the traditional uses of lemon balm.
