A healthy musculoskeletal system improves quality of life, mobility and longer life. Musculoskeletal disorders do the opposite and are conventionally treated with pharmaceutical painkillers that have numerous side effects. A safe, effective, natural alternative would benefit a lot of people.

Turmeric and its active ingredient, curcumin, are very powerfully antioxidant and anti-inflammatory. This systematic review and meta-analysis included 7 studies of skeletal muscle health and 12 of joint conditions.

Either way, it helped. Turmeric and curcumin were more effective than placebo or other controls for muscle pain. When it came to joint pain and joint disorder, turmeric and curcumin were also more effective than placebo. They safely improved both pain and joint function.

This meta-analysis shows, once again, that turmeric and curcumin are effective for safely helping in the management of musculoskeletal health and pain. The herbal supplements reduced postexercise pain, inflammation, oxidative stress, and muscle soreness.
