Ever Wonder Why There’s So Much Bad Nutrition Information Out There?
A just released report has revealed that the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND), the largest association of nutrition professionals, has compromising ties with processed food giants. . . .
It found that General Mills and ConArga have been AND sponsors for ten of the past twelve years. Coca-Cola sponsors continuing education courses. And PepsiCo, Kraft Foods and Nestle are all “partners” of AND who are approved to provide continuing education courses to registered dieticians.
The report also found that Kellog and the National Dairy Council have been sponsors for nine of the last twelve years and that the single most consistent sponsor of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is the National Cattleman’s Beef Association.
