Helping Hot Flashes with Chamomile

New science says helping hot flashes may be a beautiful flower away!
What scientists call the vasomotor symptoms of menopause are better known by you as hot flashes and night sweats. About 80% of menopausal women go through them. You might also experience your heart rate going up, heart palpitations, dizziness and anxiety.
A new triple-blind study tried giving 80 postmenopausal women between the ages of 47 and 62 either a placebo or a 400mg capsule of chamomile that was standardized to 1.2% apigenin. The study lasted for 12 weeks.
The women who took the chamomile experienced significantly reduced vasomotor symptoms compared to the placebo group. That means less hot flashes! The chamomile did not affect other aspects of menopause.
This study suggests that taking a simple chamomile capsule can improve your quality of life by significantly reducing hot flashes.
