Serious Side Effects of Tylenol

Tylenol increases risk of death and serious side effects

We have written a lot on the ineffectiveness and serious side effects of NSAIDs and Acetaminophen containing drugs like

Acetaminophen is the single most common drug ingredient in America. But, when researchers conducted a systematic literature review of the adverse events associated with acetaminophen use, the results revealed something shocking.

The review included 8 studies that compared using acetaminophen to not using it. One of the 2 studies that reported on mortality found an increased risk of death from using acetaminophen.

All 4 studies that looked at cardiovascular adverse events found an increased risk from using acetaminophen.

The one study that looked at gastrointestinal side effects found an increased risk of adverse events or bleeding.

Three out of 4 studies that looked at adverse events in the kidneys found an increased risk with acetaminophen.

The researchers concluded that that evidence point to “a considerable degree of [acetaminophen] toxicity especially at the upper end of standard analgesic doses.”
