Omega-3 EFAs From Plants Reduce Risk of Heart Attack

People often debate the benefits of fish oil versus flaxseed oil as a source of heart healthy omega-3 essential fatty acids and wonder whether flaxseed oil is as good. Looks like it’s at least as good! . . . 

A meta-analysis of 27 studies that included over a quarter of a million people concluded that consumption of omega-3 fatty acids from plant sources reduces the risk of a heart attack or cardiovascular event by a full 14%!
