Huge Study Finds Vitamin C Prevents Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer for men in the world. In North America, it is even worse: it is the most common cancer for men in both Canada and the U.S. and the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. and third in Canada.
But a new study has shown that getting lots of vitamin C in your diet can help fight these odds. . . .
This huge meta-analysis included 103,658 men from eighteen different studies. It found that men who got the most vitamin C in their diet had a significant 11% lower risk of prostate cancer than men who got the least. There was a 9% reduction in risk from each 150mg of vitamin C consumed in the diet.
So, eating lots of vitamin C rich fruits and vegetables can significantly reduce your risk of the most common cancer for men.
This is the second recent exciting study of vitamin C and cancer. This one’s for men; the last one’s for women.
