How Do You Solve the Problem of Diabetes, Obesity & Heart Disease? Green Tea!

Being diabetic and overweight is a very bad combination for cardiovascular disease. Drinking green tea can help.
Diabetes increases your risk of cardiovascular disease by 42%. When diabetes is combined with being overweight, the increase in risk jumps to a staggering 78%.
A safe, simple solution would be a huge benefit for a huge number of people. Part of that solution may be as safe and simple as a cup of tea.
A just published study has shown that drinking green tea can protect against stroke and coronary heart disease.
The study followed 4,756 overweight diabetics for up to 6.27 years. It found that drinking green tea reduced the risk of cardiovascular disease by 24%.
Compared to people who seldom drank green tea, consuming more than 5g a day of green tea leaves significantly reduced the risk of cardiovascular disease by 29%, stoke by 30%, and coronary heart disease by 40%.
Considering the massive increase in risk of cardiovascular disease for overweight diabetics, the decrease in risk demonstrated in this study by simply drinking green tea could be of huge importance.
