Garlic Reduces Risk of Gastric Cancer

For at least the last twenty-five years, large population studies have shown that garlic reduces the risk of gastric cancer. A large meta-analysis of garlic and gastric cancer risk now adds substantially to that evidence. . . .
Gastric cancer is the fifth most common cancer in the world and the third leading cause of cancer deaths.
This meta-analysis of seventeen studies of garlic and the risk of gastric cancer found that garlic intake was associated with a 23% reduced risk of gastric cancer. At higher doses, garlic reduced the risk by a full 51% (it was not clear from the meta-analysis exactly what constituted a higher dose).
So, garlic seems to be a very safe, effective and affordable way to reduce the risk of gastric cancer.
