Flavonoids Help Prevent Diabetes

Eating lots of foods rich in flavonoid antioxidants has been shown to have many health benefits. A recent meta-analysis has added even more weight to the evidence that flavonoids are good for diabetes.

This meta-analysis of four studies on dietary flavonoids and type II diabetes included a total of 284,806 people. It found that the people who get the most flavonoids in their diet are 9% less likely to develop type II diabetes than people who get the least.

Flavonoids are abundantly found in many fruits and berries, beans, onions, green tea and other foods.
