Eating Legumes Helps You Manage Your Weight

This large systematic review and meta-analysis of 21 controlled studies included 940 people. The studies all compared diets that include pulses to those that don’t.

The meta-analysis found that eating one 132g serving of pulses a day for six weeks leads to .75 pounds (.34kg) more weight loss than diets that don’t include pulses. So, in addition to all the other health reasons for including beans and other pulses in your diet, it can also help you control your weight.
