chili peppers reduce risk of death from any cause and from cardiovascular disease

Suicide hot sauce may be just the opposite. Not only will those spicy chili peppers not kill you, they may make you live a lot longer.

A massive study followed 22,811 people for 8.2 years. People in the group who ate chili peppers more than four times a week were 23% less likely to die from any cause during that period than people who ate them rarely or never. They were also 34% less likely to die from cardiovascular disease.

Chili peppers have been quite neglected by researchers. But this study gives you reason to go ahead and spice up your recipes!
