All four studies in a review of double-blind, placebo-controlled studies of the herb maca and menopause found a statistically significant improvement in menopausal symptoms. The one study that used dried maca also found improved sexual function and psychological symptoms. However, the researchers cautioned that because of poor study design, the studies provide only limited evidence of maca's value for menopause.
