People suffering from multiple sclerosis often experience fatigue. So this double-blind, placebo-controled study looked at whether Korean red ginseng--a herb associated with energy--could help. . . .

Fifty-two people with MS who were undergoing medical treatment were given either 250mg of Korean red ginseng or a placebo twice a day for three months.

While fatigue continued to get worse in the placebo group, it improved in the ginseng group. The difference was significant. Quality of life also improved significantly in the ginseng group compared to the placebo group.
