CoQ10 increases levels of your body's antioxidants

Coenzyme Q10 is one of the most important heart nutrients. New research is showing that it may also be an important antioxidant.

CoQ10 is a powerful and important nutrient. It is crucial for the production of energy in the body. It is an important nutrient for heart health, and numerous studies have shown its benefit for congestive heart failure.

CoQ10 is valuable for tons of conditions, including gingivitis, migraines, Parkinson’s disease, MS and many others. Recent research has demonstrated its important role in fighting inflammation. And now, just published research is confirming its important role in fighting free radical damage.

Your body manufactures several of its own important and powerful antioxidants, like glutathione, superoxidase dismutase (SOD) and catalase (CAT). CoQ10,it turns out, can increase the levels of first line defence antioxidants.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of 19 controlled studies discovered that CoQ10 significantly increases levels of all three of the body’s antioxidants: glutathione, SOD and CAT. CoQ10 also significantly increased total antioxidant capacity and significantly decreased MDA levels: MDA is an important marker of free radical damage.

This study reveals that CoQ10 is doing important antioxidant work in your body.
