Acupuncture for Diabetic Neuropathy & Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

acupuncture helps neuropathy from diabetes HIV and carpal tunnel syndrome

Neuropathy is the medical term for nerve damage or malfunction. The damage can be caused by many conditions from diabetes, infections, autoimmune diseases, vitamin deficiencies and toxicity to chemotherapy and more. Treating neuropathies has proven to be difficult. So researchers set out to see if acupuncture might be a solution. . . .

The researchers conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis of 15 controlled studies. They found that the majority of controlled studies found acupuncture to be beneficial for neuropathies caused by diabetes, Bell’s palsy and carpal tunnel syndrome. They also concluded that it is probably effective for HIV-related neuropathy.

So, if you suffer from diabetic neuropathy, or one of the other types of neuropathy, acupuncture may be a safe, effective treatment for you to try.
